About 2 hour ago my Xbox was on and when my BF went to work he turned it off then I get up to play and it won't power on at all at first it would eject the cod disc but it won't even do that now I tried in plugging it and nothing help z???

Ok so if you have a basic problem the xbox troubleshooter will help but the other 80% of the time the system will need more help. Power issues that are not solved by the xbox troubleshooter have a few points of failure. First we will start with the least technical. Original fat model xbox one try the power supply on a friends system or bring your system to a gamestore and tell them you want to trade it in but leave your powerbrick at home and they will test it with a store powerbrick. Then just dont sell it. For all other xbox one models the power supply is internal so if you are willing to open the system y_ will need to test for shorts on the motherboard side of the power connector. If more than 2 of the connectors show continuity to the copper ground on the edge of board. The power supply is more than likely fine but in some cases w- still be bad but the extra grounds need to be fixed first and that is on the power rail- sorry ifixit will not support my 2734 character answer and the guid is horible on here
Continued from my othe answer that ifixit made me cut to 1024 cheracters --that is under the heatsink/fan. If the xbox original power supply also tests good and the system still does not power on it is also the power rail most of the time. To get to the power rail you must remove every screw and pull the motherboard when the motherboard is out you have to remove the screws in the x clamp and the presurized x clamp. The heatsink will now come off and you can see the power rail. The power rail is along the right side of the cpu right next to the edge of the motherboard. You will need to find the component that is about the size of 1/4 of a grain of rice. Most of the time the damaged one will look burnt and replace it with a known good one by desoldering it from another parts xbox one and soldering it into yours. If you do not have solder experience I would not recommend starting with micro components. Ok and to the people smacking the xbox. Please stop you are causing damage that may no - had to still cut this

Hello!
If your Xbox One S or original Xbox One console won't turn on, your power supply may be faulty or improperly connected, or there may be another reason. Try the following solutions.
Solution 1: Reset your internal power supply
The Xbox One S console has an internal power supply that works in all regions worldwide. If your console won't turn on, it may simply need a power reset. Often, power issues are due to the power supply resetting after a power surge.
Note Because the console has a built-in surge protector, you should not connect it to an external surge protector. If you connect the console to another surge protector, the console cannot reach the full power that is needed for optimal performance.
To reset the internal power supply, follow these steps:
#If the console turns on, the internal power reset worked. Do this step in the future if the problem happens again.

Ive got this issue, psu is outputting 12.98v across each of the three sets of pins -probs ok given old meter calibration. https://youtu.be/7KZaUw-k9XM
Now need to know what’s next; to simulate power without the front board, repaste, whatever.. ifixit!!
I tried everything, but the wall outlet but it doesnt fit. Can't get it to turn on unless we get a new power cord.

I'm having a similar problem, I own an original Xbox one and recently I was playing Skyrim (a few days ago) when my mods started acting up. I reset the game then I reset my console and I haven't been able to turn it back on. This isn't the first time it's happened a while back I was playing a game when I turned it off and left for work when I got home it wouldn't turn on and it stayed like that for a week till one day it magically turned back on. I've read that there's a feature in the settings that will make the console think it's always on even when it's off and so because of that it will keep it from turning on I believe it's the “Always On” option however I have been unable to turn my Xbox on for a few days now to even confirm that

I did manage to find a solution, so after months of working with it I can, in confidence, say that this is a confirmed solution. So I've noticed my Xbox does this when it's over worked, I've played Skyrim jump to ESO then to fallout then to Hulu and seen it just crash and start it's BS again. I've also noticed when applying the solution the Xbox returns to life making sounds running the fan then the screen appears implying that it's probably not drawing enough power from the brick. However it's a simple fix. Power your Xbox on then smack it on the vent side in the back over the power outlet. Sometimes it takes a few smacks but it always works and it doesn't pull it's BS for weeks until it's stressed also if u have the auto-on setting active the Xbox reads that it's on sometimes when it's off. Just disable it when it does turn on. Besides that yeah just hit it to re ignite the electric current in the system like sparking a match.
P.S it's not permanent it will do it again so be prepared to smack it again. Each time it shuts off and refuses to turn on I apply this solution and it works Everytime.
Note: you shouldn't hit it to the point it's gonna break (that is unless it's being picky then u can hit it a bit harder but only a bit harder from the Goldilock zone of soft and hard) but don't hit it soft your trying to kick it into gear and just tapping it won't do you any good.

Hi, I bought used Xbox One, but i found out that is not turning on. Someone knows what i value of resistor R6c4 ?

Just measure the resistor's value with a multimeter

@jason mcgready if they need a new resistor it stands to reason measuring the resistance of said resistor would be a waste of time. Please don't add extra B's for the rest of us to have to sift through if you either a) aren't gonna read the whole post short though it may be. Or b) don't know what the !&&* you're talking about. A resistor will only tell you what the proper resistance value is if it's good. Aka IF YOU DONT NEED A NEW ONE

@John Crooks can you help me with part C6C4 ? this part is broken on my board.
I have the original xbox one as well but about 2 days ago i was playing rdr2 when the consle just shut off and it wouldnt turn on. so i unplugged it for about 10 seconds and it turned back on. but about 15-20 minutes later it shut off again and is still doing that now what do i do? I tried resetting the power supply and nothing has changed

Original Xbox one it’s nothing wrong with the console it’s the power brick Thea that say Xbox one them they all are junk an an are designed that way so u think the Xbox has something wrong so MS can make a $150 bucks off u just to replace the power brick buy another one a off brand power supply this will fix ur problem

Well in spite of everything said here in, but the problem im experiencing is slightly different because mine will turn on only for a brief moment a second or two then turns itself off...any known reasons why and or solutions for this issue?
Remove the heatsink and dust it and remove and apply a new thermal compound.
I plugged my xbox one s and my front button when I click it the white light is not turning on or is it the plug that it's not working or what any solution

My Xbox one wouldn't turn on but made a noise like it was trying. My warranty is over so i opened both the power adapter and the the Xbox and blew it out with air duster. Then put it all back together and it worked again. This happened 3.11.20

If you have anything like an external hard drive unplug the usb from the xbox one x. Make sure to follow Microsoft's other steps then press power button it should turn on the. After power is on plug external hard drive in immediately while the system is booting up. Fixed my issue and I haven't had a problem since doing this everytime.

My Xbox did this exact same thing and I did what you did and it worked for about a week but now it won't turn on at all, I tried doing the same thing but nothing. Won't even make a faint noise anymore either. Nothing happens when I try to turn it on. Any ideas how to fix this?

this has fixed it for me in the past - xbox one s- unplug the power cable - (figure of 8 for internal psu) and swap the cable with another fig of 8 cable and it works
