What is this noise?

I have just received a new macbook and I have started noticing this mechanical noise coming from the top right side. I have tested many things such as running black magic speed test- no noise; copying large amount of files, no noise! But when i start doing some video encoding i.e when the the fans starting to kick in, I hear this mechanical noise coming but then the loud fans noise takes over and it is hard to figure out where exactly the noise is coming from?

If I put me ear next to macbook from the back side, I don't hear that noise but once i put my ear next to macbook from front side near top right corner I hear that noise.

Any help please?

Here is recording:

Thanks

Update (11/30/2015)

Cheers. A quick update: once the noise starts coming, if a tilt macbook 90 degrees on the left side, the noise goes away and once i put back, the noise returns.

I also think it is the fan.

My guess would be a failing fan or something touching the fan. It's covered under warranty.

I've had the same problem for years and every time I've taken it to the Apple store I've been told that it's dirt from the fans, they clean it, but the sound comes back after a while, I'm used to it.

I have this problem and it appears to come from near the "magsafe" power connector. The magsafe connector was quite hot to the touch. Two of the connecting pins are damaged due to overheating. (When a power carrying connector doesn't make good contact, you can get a lot of heat.) When I remove the charger cable, the sound goes away. My plan is to replace the small circuit board (Magsafe 2 DC-in board) in the MBP because the contacts are damaged. If I'm right, that will fix it. The Apple people say to always make sure the connectors are clean so they make good contact.

I think its the disk drive because my macbook pro has a disk drive over there. try the eject button ( If there is even a disk drive)! Also try downloading https://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/23049/... It may look like a virus but its not i use it because my mac gets so hot and the fan is small. try to change the speed and see if it gets louder if so its a fan if not its a disk drive!
