Why does the fujiflim come out white
I bought a pack of Fujifilm at urban outfitters and I only got to take several photos and 8 came out all white

Your pictures were overexposed.
The Instax Mini 8 does not set exposure automatically, although it does suggest the correct setting.
Before you take a photo, point the camera in the direction of your subject. A dial around the lens is used to set the correct exposure. There are 4 indicators next to the dial, one of these will light up, suggesting the correct setting. Turn the dial so that the mark corresponds to the indicator light, and take the photo.
Also, there are two little round windows next to the flash. These are the exposure sensors. Be careful not to cover these with your fingers when you hold the camera, because if you do, the camera cannot measure the light and/or control the power of the flash correctly, which will cause your pictures to come out overexposed. In fact, this might be exactly what happened.

Is it the same problem as overexposure?
This looks like Instax film, which might've gotten some x-ray exposure (e.g. went through TSA scanners with the rest of the stuff you were bringing on a plane). A few years back I forgot to ask my film to be hand checked and the end result looked v. similar to this
If you accidently covered the two little round windows next to the flash and the film comes out white, can it be fixed where the film WON'T come out white anymore?
My film is fairly new, and 5 photos have all turned out white. I haven't been covering the sensors, I put them in dark places to develop, and yet they're still coming out white. I need help!
Has anyone ever left the instax film in the camera for almost 1 year? I did that and I took some photos with that film and the photos came out greenish and bright. Is the problem from the film or the camera? Or was it because the batteries low?
Mine is instax mini 9.

Try replacing the film. If that doesn't work,you need to get a new one.

That worked!
Changed the film, changed the batteries, did not cover the sensors…. I had it for over 3 years. I refuse to buy a new one because it’s not supposed to behave like this after three years. I litterly had 30 white pictures, it’s like the sensor in the camera itself is broken or something. Something or wrong wrong with either 3 films (so 30 pictures ruined) or it is the machine. I tried all different settings and I develop them in dark places. I really don’t get it. It all happened very sudden :(

my seal broke at the top on my cartridge also make sure that the protective film is the first thing that comes out when you load a new cartridge (the protective film saves the others from the light

I dropped my camera it if wasn't far from the ground so the film got stuck and I had to take it out but now when I take pictures they all turn out white and the last one I took it had a tiny black dot in the middle of the film . I don't know what to do. Of it's the film or the ink isn't working.

Me too- dropped it a few times , then the film got stuck so I pulled the packet out of the back and then the film that was stuck out. Then I replaced the batteries because the orange lights were flashing. And now it's taking white photos and the red light is on! What do I do?

I got it last night for Christmas and I took one pic last night and I opened the back by accident and the first pic I took today came out white. Will all the pics after it turn out white? That's what I wanna know : will they all turn out white??

the first one is an example, it does NOT take a picture. it just "takes it" to let you know how it works if that makes sense.

When I took a picture it came out blank and then I bought more packages and then I opened one of the packet and it didn’t come out blank but why did the other ones come out blank ???

It's probably because you may have opened the flap where you put the cartridge, overexposure from light or you damaged the cartridge before using it remember they are very delicate

I got my camera just last night and it came with 1 film box with 10 Fiji film squares. Every single one turned out perfectly except my last photo. It stayed completely white and I took it about 4 hours ago. I’m not really sure what it is, does anyone else know?

jip al my photos I take in light came out white even when it'S cloudly the the sky is also to sharp and make it white. I dont shake the picture
I got the camera for my birthday an when i took a picture it comes out white and then i used another package and took a picture then i put it under my pillow and it came out right so my conclusion is if you change your film or put it in a dark place it might work and i m not gonna say it is gonna work for everyone

I’m also having the same issue; i bought brand new batteries, brand new film and still white. No red lights and flash working but the back of undeveloped pictures appears brownish?! I took out film and put it in another camera and worked fine!? Help is it a total loss?! What can i do?

So I bought a fujifilm instax 7S and my first photo i took a day before came out perfect and then today I went outside to take a photo. I changed the setting to outside and the photo came out white is there a way I can fix it or is it trash
What a load of crap. What to expect from a cheap device yet too expensive for what it is. #smh

Hi there,
I had the same problem months ago but have worked out why some can out white.
If you expose the film to any sort of light it will make the photo go white.
Or if you shake it, that will also make them stay white or even turn black.

I read many questions concerning this. Most of the answers are all experiencing the same situation. One of the answers said that he tried to buy a new film and works good.
