How to reattach LCD flex cable to LCD

Block Image

I am operating a phone repair and lcd refurbishing center. I currently replace backlights, polarizers, and top glass on the displays but sometimes i am dealing with a fully functioning lcd that has the flex cables removed. How do I reattach the flex cables to the lcd and what kind of equipment is used? It would be a shame to get rid of a good lcd just because of the flex cable. Right now this question is centered around the iPhone 6 but any answers will be helpful.

Hi,

I do oca refurbishing too and had a fully working i6 lcd that i refurbed and it had a broken flex connector. i figured that would of been too much work for what it's worth and i think it would be the same story with the flex cable. do you have a picture of which part?

i updated the question to include the photo. Its disconnected right where it connects to the lcd itself

tarafından

if the cable was damaged you would struggle finding one and then attaching it if even possible. i would honestly just leave them to one side, the lcd's if original are worth £20 and it's certainly not worth the trouble surely? where abouts are you based?

do not believe cable is damaged but if so I know where to get new cables. Im based in camp hill pennsylvania usa

Replacing the flex cable is 100% possible but not worth it unless you can do enough to cover the machine expense. It might be better to contact a place that buys screens in this condition.

The cable is clearly cut in half, you have to remove the stud on the LCD first

The equipment in question is called a pulse pressing machine, however I'm not sure of the success rate.
