Location of power pads

Macbook air with liquid damage, did a board cleaning and device powered back on. Now a couple month later it doesn't power up.

While trying to reset smc I notice there are no change to the charger indicator light. I suspect the power button has failed. I'm looking to jumpstart the macbook air to validate that, and if so, change the keyboard assembly.

I know Macboks usually have a couple power pads that can be bridged to power it up.

Does anyone know where they are?

thanks

Hi!

I have the same problem. I have now located the "debug power button". But does not work to press on them. How do you do it? And why did you put a red circle around the black thing?

tarafından

knutegil11 the red circle is from another guide where this image comes from. disregard it. you will need a flat head screwdriver or a paperclip to "bridge" the two contacts in the blue circle. If that does not work, then you are having plenty of other issues with your board.

Ok, then I guess my Mac is broken for sure... Thank you for answering :)

Before you get rid of it, track another ultrasonic cleaning with some Branson ec.

@gigabit87898 why? knutegil11 did not mention anything about water damage or any other damage.
