How to transfer applications from old n9 to new n9?

As the title question inquire, I want to know if it's possible to transfer applications from my old Nokia n9 to a "newer" n9. And if possible, how?

Will I be needing some kind of computer software to transfer it?

Or do I need to perform some terminal commands(if so, could you do a step by step list on how to do it) on each phone?

Thanks you in advance for your help.

if you have access to a computer you can take advantage of the backup feature of the phone.

go to settings > sync > backup and do a backup on the first device.

plug the device on a computer through USB and transfer the backup files, they are located in /home/usr/MyDocs/.backups/

then plug the destination device through USB and transfer the files into the same location on the destination phone.

go to settings > sync > backup, select the backup you just transferred and tap restore.

There is also a migration that can be done through bluetooth but I am not familiar with it.

I just did this with a new Samsung phone. It has a transfer app that worked OK, but now I have a bunch of apps that I never used and some duplicates. I'm not sure it was worth the trouble. When changing computers, I make a list of all my apps, then just install new ones on the new computer so I have fresh, useful ones that work with my new operating system.
