glass replacement on iMac a1419

respectfully I must disagree, similar uv adhesive is used to that on iPhone, the service seems to be available from some companies in China,

I need to source a machine to handle the screen size but unfortunately can only find to handle up to 15". We have a large stock of 21.5 [A1418] and 27" [A1419] with cracked or chipped glass, we can source the glass the adhesive but at a loss for the machine

liam, some things can be done, but if you have to find and buy a machine that costs more than what you are trying to replace, it's only of use to someone in the business of doing it, not individuals.

Let us know when you find out how to do it and the machine, then you may feel free to disagree with me. But as of now, you really don't have an alternative solution, just the possibility of one.

Hi Mayer, we have been replacing the complete panel for about 2 years and have accumulated approximately 800 x 21.5" and 1400 x 27" we also replace system boards but not as many and we feel that sending screen to the crusher is not an option. There are a few customers in the UK and D that will also contract with us to make their screen repairs. We have tested a few low cost machines, reliability is a problem.

We will continue our search for the correct machine and if anyone knows where to get the proper machine it would be great help

Liam - Thats a lot of bad displays! Are these all with the cover glass damaged or more LCD damage?

All working with glass damage, the damaged screens that have both damaged we don't keep . We test each screen before fitting new screens
