Why isn't my charger working properly?

Whenever I use my charger, most of the time it just pops up with a message that says something along the lines of "this accessory may not be supported". However, if I can get my charger in the perfect position it manages to charge but it can't even be touched or else it will stop working and is also really annoying and bothers me a lot. Is anybody else having this problem? If so, do you know how to fix it? I would really appreciate the help.

There is likely an issue with a pin or pins in the charge port being damaged or having cracked solder joints. This can cause the symptoms you have mentioned. Especially if you have to position the charge cord just right for it to charge. You can fix this issue by replacing the lightning connector which I have linked the part here: iPhone 5c Lightning Connector and Headphone Jack

You can follow this guide to replace the lightning connector yourself: iPhone 5c Lightning Connector Assembly Replacement

Hope this is helpful and best of luck.

The simple fix if you are lucky - Charger port is clogged with dust / debris and needs the gunk to be cleaned out. Use a toothpick or something equivalent to remove it and try plugging in the charging port.

Note: Only do this if the charging cable does not plug in fully.
