Red X Whilst Charging Tablet

Recently my tablet has been giving me this, now I have done all the troubleshooting someone or an official would say. Try another adapter, hard reset, another cable, turn off while charging and a few other attempts. All of those have failed. I believe that the USB port has taken damage due to my case's small USB opening. I am wondering if there is a guide to replace the port and if not can someone help/guide me to repairing my device. I rather do it myself then get Samsung or a local repair shop to do it.

If you can explain more why you think it's a defective battery that would be great.

Usually when something has a defective battery it will show something that it's not charging like a red X or it saying not charging.

Oh okay, I see if that's the case would recommend I send to Samsung because it's still under warranty but this started to happen when I accidentally bent the metal part of the USB when I was plugging it in to my tablet because of my case. Also it does charge but at an extremely slow rate.
