Battery replaced, updated to iOS 10 and now battery won't charge, why?

Battery replaced, updated to iOS 10 and now battery won't charge, why?

Battery was replaced and the phone was reassembled. I recharged the battery fully to 100%. I then updated the firmware to the new iOS version 10. Now when I plug in to charge the battery it will not recognize the charger/cable. I have tried several chargers and cables and nothing works.

Does iOS 10 blacklist third party batteries?

If you have the old battery, can you check if that one charges? You might have accidentally damaged something to do with the charging circuit. Also is you act quick you can try to downgrade to 9.3.5 while it is still being signed. In other words do your best to isolate it to hardware or software.
