Apple power supplies are rates 100VAC to 240VAC. You want to look for the proper power cord to prevent having to use a bulky plug adapter. I suggest calling Apple at the 1-800-My-Apple to order a power cord for the country you plan on using the device in. Something to consider is other countries that use 220VAC also use PAL instead of the US's NTSC.
