Push pedal, no go

95 Electric Club Car... Batteries fully charged...Switch on, forward/reverse lever in either position.. push pedal...solenoid clicks.... but that's it. Cart will not move at all. What could be the problem? How do I diagnose or fix? Thank you for your help. Bob from Cleveland

Hello in having the same problem I was curious on if you had fixed the issue or not? I have G16E 36v golf cart with all new Parts includes throttle sensor, speed Controller, solenoid, Brushes, and 6 brand new batteries when I first got it it worked for a week then it works on full charge for 2 laps and slows down and eventually doesn't move at all

I push on my pedal a little down and it will start up and move but as soon as I left my foot off I have to do it again what could be the problem it's like it has a sweet spot on it

@bobfromclevelan ,Bob, Since you know batteries are good ancharged, check all the electrical connection/plugs/wires for damage/loose/corrossion if all good probably a bad solenoid. Link for diagnosing/test procedures below. Good luck.

I hope this helped you out, if so let me know by pressing the helpful button.

I have a 2009 Yamaha Drive Golf cart. I just bought it. The batteries are good. I here the solenoid click on and off continuously so it will not operate. It seems like the pedal and brake even cause the relay to click on and off. Sometimes the cart moves but then clicks off and will not do anything. I do t think it’s solenoid. Charges batteries to 48VDC. Does anyone have a suggestion ? Thanks. Scott

Having same problem have you heard anything

This looks like an old thread and I'm sure you have fixed it by now but if not, I would say it is your stop safety switch under your brake. I have replaced three of them recently and they all had similar issues. I finally deleted it and hooked up a toggle switch. There is a throttle position sensor attached to the go pedal. Check it next but first I would make a jumper, plug it in to the hot end of the safety switch and hit the gas. If it moves at this point you will need to replace that switch. Or bypass it. This switch is just a plunger that makes a connection when the brake is applied. The plunger gets debris in it and fails to retract completely. Hope this helps Chip

I’m having same issue with 1998 ezgo txt gas . Wet to tribe and nothing. I hit the gas and all I could hear is the solenoid clicking and nothing happens so I thought it might be the problem. So I put a new fuse wire new rectifier and new solenoid. Still having issue. Battery is good

Hi Stanley ! I think I have found the problem. I was looking on other forums and found a guy talking about a similar problem. He said turn the key on push the pedal down while tapping the generator and see if you get any movement which I did. That being said I decided to go the cheap rout and bought a rebuild kit for it. ( 15.00 bucks ) vs $140 . It comes in Friday so once I rebuild it I will know for sure. Hope this helps. And let me know if you have any movement Thanks

Hey Stanley..Unfortunately, I had to call in the troops (the guy who built my cart) and found out that a wire had been placed incorrectly by someone else...I had that corrected as well as a new controller put in. Cost almost 400 bucks but without it, the lifted cart I had built was worth nothing. Seems to have worked fine ever since, I think the controller is the issue that causes this the most from other posts that Ive seen so I dont know if the wire had anything to do with it at all.

What is the generator you tapped on

Does anyone have a diagram I can use ?I have a Hyundai golf Cart 1991 hgg1. I need to know where that wire goes from the gas pedal and then I need to know how to hook up the solenoid the generator starter because my motor has a starter and I need to get the pedal fixed right
