No lights, nothing is on

Hi have a GE French door pgss5rkzss that we purchased about 8-9 years ago. Just recently our fridge would turn off completely and then turn back on a few hrs later. It happened again last evening and it still hasn't turned on. I scoured the internet to find answers and couldn't find anything. Our control panel isn't on either. I have no idea what it could be. I've seen people changed the motherboard and I've seen others highly advised not to do that unless it's burnt. Please help. I haven't pulled the board out yet but wanted to check everything else before I get to that point. Any advise will help. Thanks!!
