My phone is phone is working crazy after screen replacement

Hello Guys

I just opened my iPhone 5C to learn to the how to disamble the iPhone 5C screen. I only did it, nothing more. Take off the screen and put together again. However when I tried to power up it didnt respond and I tought it was something with the flats then I remove and put it in place again, didn't work.

Then after I just remove the battery cable and put in place again it worked!

THERE IS THE PROBLEM.

Now my batter is working like crazy... I charged the phone for 5 hours (time used to go from 0 to 100%) and yesterday it went to 78% and was stuck there :(

Then today it was with 18% of battery and went to 5% in less the minute. I didn't even touch the battery and it was working fine before it... Of course is not a brand new battery but it is not a CRAZY mal functioning battery like it is now.

What could I make wrong?

Sounds like you may have knocked off some components while unplugging the battery. It is very common when the nails are dug too deeply into the logic board and components right above the battery connector get knocked off.

I used tools and actually I rechecked everything twice.

Does it have the same issue when tested with another battery?

@micah Yes It does!

did you unplug the battery before taking the screen off?

Chances are you either knocked a component off/loose or its possible that you created a short if you didn't disconnect the battery.

The fix is the same for either: board level repairs.

First thing I would try is a new battery to eliminate that as a cause. What it most sounds like to me is what Ben mentioned in his comment, about the chips near the battery connector either getting knocked off or damaged . Those chips can be replaced though if necessary, but being that it's an iPhone 5c it could very well be cheaper to replace the phone that have micro soldering done on the board.

If you can post a picture of the circuit board near the battery connector, I can let you know if anything has been damaged or knocked off.

Let me know if this is helpful.
