janetstelnicki , It could be a software/App issue and a hard/factory reset may be what is needed. You can select your ZTE Phone model from the link below for instruction to hard reset it. Hard Reset will erase all of your data, back up info. prior unless it does not matter. Good luck. I hope this helped you out, if so let me know by pressing the helpful button.

Would you believe I turned it off then on again and it worked. Thank you for your comment though. Much appreciated

Why my phoned not ringing
I Rebooted mine and its fixed
The restart works to reinstate the ringing sounds.. but the problem returns and you dont know the phone call noise is not working until you have missed some calls. Anyone ideas on a permanent fix? You can tell if its not working by trying to change the ring tone. If is working you can a preview of the ringtone. If its not - you do not get a a preview sound.
Try hard start, that is how CC told me but they seemed surprised over this problem, hold button down and will go off, then start and ringer volume is back, but I kept watching volume okay, just did again, still working will call again tomorrow. Check ringer in swings under Sound.

Same issue. No solution has worked yet.
1 Get another phone from someone else.
2 call your devices manufacturers customer service line they might know what they're talking about.

Hi,
What indication do you get when you call the number of the phone from another phone?
Have you set the phone to "silent" or mute"?
Have you checked the ringtone Volume level?
Can you make an o/g call OK?
Have you checked that you are not in airplane mode?
Have you proved that the loudspeaker works by playing music? (This speaker is the one used for the ringtone)
Have you checked that you have selected a ringtone?
What is the model number of the phone?
What have you tried?

What happens if you go to Settings > Device > Sound > Phone Ringtone and select a different ringtone, do you hear the ringtone there?
