For that you will have to disassemble your DVD player. This document should come in handy for that Philips PD9030_05 SM If the DC jack is properly mounted and you measured the input from the power adapter with a voltmeter, you could always check the fuse F1 as well as the caps, and see if you have power on the circuitry.
