Screen Replacement Home button keeps touching itself.

I just replaceed a screen for a customer, Ipad mini 2 screen. Now after the screen replacement the home button keeps double tapping itself and is opening the recent apps. The ipad can not be turned of because when you try to press the power button it keeps taking a screenshot because the home button is pushing itself. Can anyone please try to help me out with this issue I am having. I checked the home button adn there is no damage at all to it and I tried to reset the flex cables to fix that issue and that is not working.
