The HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus is identifiable by its model number: N911g. Released in 2011, the printer can be identified by its brown finish and touchscreen control panel.
I am confused with this process. I am in need of a sliding tray that holds the printer document. This tray has a fold up stop to prevent the printed document from landing on the floor. The tabs that permit the fold up stop tab have been completely damaged.
I know this is an old thread but I've published a model to MakerWorld that you can print with a 3D printer. Obviously if you don't have access to one there are tons of companies that will print the model on your bahalf. Hope it helps.
the two round plastic tabs that hold the movable stop have broken completely off and I need to replace the tray.

It would seem that you will have to replace the Output Paper Catch Tray Assembly, which has the tabs.
I have the same problem and I can’t figure out how to remove the old one.
