snow leopard upgrade
Will I loose any files if I were to upgrade to snow leopard. I am running leopard 10.5.8 now.

No you won't loose anything, just launch the installation and it works straightforward.
Before the upgrade you should make a backup of your home folder on an external device : usb disk or dvd or whatever is big enough, in case…. When choosing installation options install rosetta if you have powerpc programs.
