Factory reset phone now freezes

I tried to factory rest my phone. Now it will not boot up or get past set-up wizard without freezing up. Have to completely take the battery out to turn it off.

Try Master reset with hardware keys, google the procedure for your Make/Model/Carrier. First scroll to clear cache and clear it, then do your reset to factory settings and see if the clearing cache helps you in the reset process.
