My display is not turning on.
I have tried to power on and restart the laptop but the display still does not show anything but a black screen.

Ar Chavez could be a bad LCD or a bad GPU (part of your motherboard) Start by attaching an external monitor. If that one shows your images than you know the issue is with either your LCD or your motherboard. Get the hardware maintenance manual for your computer from here. It will help you to work on your computer.
