As the iPhone 8 LCD screen is very expensive now, can I use an iPhone 7 LCD screen to replace it to save money? Anyone had tested about this? Thank you!

I'm a technician and remembering some of the connectors I believe not, because 1 iPhone 8 back plate is made of glass not your average aluminum. Weird right. As the iPhone 7 is Aluminum there for there's a slight difference in the size of the LCD by milometers actually.
Specs
iPhone 8 - 138.4 x 67.3 x 7.3 mm (5.45 x 2.65 x 0.29 in) and 148g (5.22 oz)
iPhone 7 - 138.3 x 67.1 x 7.1 mm (5.44 x 2.64 x 0.28 in) and 138g (4.87 oz)
