I have a white screen issue without.use of a keyboard. I've been.using a Windows keyboard. Put batteries back into mac keyboard but im thinking it won't connect again until you select it from Bluetooth.
How do I try the tricks to troubleshoot given the keyboard situation?

A white screen is indicative of a failed hard drive or corrupted system. You need anytime of USB keyboard as your bluetooth is not loading. Once you have one hooked up try booting holding down the option key to see if you can access the repair partition and run Disk Utilities. That failing, try booting from an external USB drive with a Mac system on it.

I don't have an option key on my dell keyboard. I have a macbook I can try making a recovery from.
Well find the ALT key.
I’m having the same issue. When I hold down the alt key on my windows keyboard the mouse clicker appears but that’s it. It does nothing else. How do I fix this?

IMac starting but a white screen and keyboard not working. What can I do?
I fixed my issue. Because my Bluetooth wireless keyboard doesn't connect until the os is starting, I was frustrated I couldn't use it, to have it be a quick fix.
I'm terrible at shutting my computer down . It's set up the way I need it and I don't often look at the back of it . I didn't realize I had a corrupted thumb drive I had been trying to salvage inserted. I forgot about it, because I don't shut down my computer regularly. Once I disconnected it…problem solved.

Hi. I have similar problem, but in my case I see white screen and my usb keyboard from windows didn’t react. I can’t go into safe mode CMD +R and other boot option.

So are you only experiencing this issue when you have no keyboard connected? Is that correctly understood? A white screen usually indicates graphics issue, if the white screen is there no matter what you do on startup

I mean I can't try any of the keys used to enter safe mode or whatever because it won't recognize shift r on Windows keyboard or anything from mac keyboard since it hadnt been connected recently
