@himo if it only gets hot on battery I'd start off with a replacement of the battery. Re-evaluate after that and if it continues you are most likely having a shortcircuit on the boards charging circuit. For further help we would need to have the exact model number of your motherboard, not your computer. It is possible that schematics are available for further troubleshooting.

I am having problem with my switch 10. It does not turn on but has an orange light on when the charger is plugged in. Also the motherboard gets hot. I opened the chasis and saw two wires were disconnected. Can anyone suggest a way such that the wires can be connected
