2 Error code F2 on Dyson AM07 tower fan

did you have it set on highest level i.e 10 ?
I did and had the same problem after it had been on for 15 mins it stopped working and F2 appeared,
I checked the base motor and it did not seem to be very warm in fact not warm at all !
i checked for F2 but it is not mentioned in any of the below ...
the useless Dyson manual that comes with it, this just shows how to assembly the item, no brainer, nothing about F2 codes etc
Dyson website, totally useless, troubleshooting section does not explain F2 and just tries to sell you Dyson products
I contacted the retailer and they said return the item, they did not know what F2 was though they have sold over 300 units of this model !
if you have this problem, unplug from mains for about an hour then plug back in and switch on, I turned the setting down to say 2 and it ran all night without any problem, I suspect this is an overkill safety feature, I do not know why as even on 10 it is not that powerful, anyway has worked fine ever since, I just put it on high for short periods if required

little message for Dyson if they ever bother to check web feedback, stop producing your models in Malaysia, bring this back to the UK, you charge a high price for your products where for example this fan model AM07 probably costs £50 to manufacture and then you put a price tag of plus £300 on it, bring production back to the UK carry on charging £300, you will still make a packet even with the higher production costs and add ALL the error codes with detailed explanations to your useless manual and website

I had the issue today and only found this search result. I spoke with Customer Service and they said the F2 code is for not having enough power. Make sure it’s not in a surge protector or extension cord, plug it directly into a wall outlet. If that doesn’t work, Hold the power button on the unit AND remote for 60 seconds and that does a hard reset.
An F4 code is similar, it’s basically a power loss while it was operating. Unplug, wait 1 minute and follow the same directions for the F2 code. He said if that doesn’t work it needs to be repaired/replaced.

Mine was working last night on setting 2 lovely , gone to put it on now bedroom 30c and error code F2 done everything suggested still error code coming up!!
Any other suggetions?
I don't have the original remote, what do i do?

I had error F2 too. It was a blocked fan motor. after i took it in the right position everything worked.

My F2 error code also came due to friction on the motor: I hadn’t fully tightened the lower four larger screws causing the fan to rub on the bottom ring in the housing. After complete tightening to pull the fan up, no more error code.

https://www.aliexpress.com/item/33061823... can get replacement motor cheaply but disassembly is not for the faint hearted…I have gone ahead and bought with the controller board too

Mine just came up with F4. I blew out the base with an air compressor and it's working great.
Usually a fault has a simple repair.

I had this issue as well. I called Dyson and was told that the filter needs changed. I was told F codes are filter. E codes are electrical/power. I was told the filters need changed annually. I just purchased one. They are $75, fyi.

My Dyson air multiplier technology had F2. I waited for an hour as the previous post mentioned, but F2 was still on. My filter is clean.
Here what I did from several trial and error. When I turnedon it showed 10 for few second and changed to F2 again. I unplugged and plugged back, turned on and the moment it showed 10, I pressed power level down to 5 or whatever. This made the fan on.

I found that "F2" meant that there was some resistance inside to the fan spinning. Disassembling it again and removing any friction resulted in the fan working fine with no error messages.
