Is it possible to run JBL XTREME without battery?

Hello,

My JBL Xtreme is not charging, not working. Just blinks one led white then blinking red and repeats.

I have removed the battery and connected charger, it did not worked. And same blinking.

I have disconnected the charger and connected DC 8V power source to power socket on board. No lights came out but it sinks current 0.25 A. I have tried to power on but no luck.

So if my JBL XTREME doesnt have a motherboard issue, is it possible to run it remove the battery and connecting device to a constant DC power source.

I have bought 2 charger cords in 1 year. These speakers are garbage and I will not be buying another. Almost $100 for a new cord…lol

Yes it is, i just removed my own battery, the unit is working fine

i'm trying to do the samething with a boombox. bypass the baterry and give power from the ac board to the motherboard. but i didnt know how for now

My jbl extreme its still work without battery with power supply from charger (after im removed that battery).. but im worried if use it for long time

My extreme 2 speaker has one bar of battery life left. It powers on but won't charge. I have taken the battery out and connected the wall charger and it does not power on. I'm thinking it's a power cord issue. Will be buying a new power cord

totally same problem here

discovered power supply to the battery is out haven't fixed mine yet since am in Nigeria and things are hard to get but iv'e been experiencing a delay in charging response might be charging unit
