The touch screen works intermittently.
Places on the screen that will not respond to touch. I can rotate screen and it will work after many attempts touching my selection.

This would be related to a Flex cable connecting the screen to the Logic Board. It could be damaged or have bad contact. That would explain why rotating it allows you to select what is on the screen, because you can bypass the part of the screen that is send signals to a damaged flex.
Replacing the screen may resolve this problem, if not there is a much larger underlying problem at hand.
Also, if the screen is cracked that will also cause issues. Let me know if there is anything else to this problem.
