How to remove bottom plate of HP photosmart 3210 ann in one

HP Photosmart 3210 All-In-One experienced paper jam. Bottom plate has two black plastic arms that were attached to each other and moved back and for in two slots.

Arms fell into the printer interior. In trying to retrieve arms one disappeared into the printer. Question is how to removed bottom plate to retrieve plastic arm.
