iPhone 5s rebooting loop after battery replacement

I recently changed my battery. After that everything seemed to worked just fine for a couple of hours. But when a was trying to calibrate the battery, doing a fully discharge, and then charge it, never turned on and began rebooting loop with a red screen that shows up sometimes.

I just have spend all my day trying to fix it with out solution.

  1. First I tried to do a hard restart;
  2. I changed display, (my old display works fine);
  3. I took out from display the proximity camera flex cable;
  4. Using the original battery.

I just don't know what else can be.

Please help me

try putting the old battery back in, if it works as it did before then you know you have a dud new battery. check the charge in the new battery-it may be too low to charge (so when you allowed the phone to go flat it cant recharge) send it back..it will never come good.

Try turning on the phone with the front camera unplugged as that may cause red screen of death boot loop.

Another thing to note is the two screw holes below the screen connector area on the logic board. If longer screws are put into that hole or overtightened the phone may have long screw damage meaning the circuit traces in that screw hole have been damaged which can cause this issue too.

This may sometimes be hard to spot without looking into those screw holes under a microscope.

In most causes it may require micro-soldering / board-level repair work done to it to get it working again.

Sometimes even a restore / update via iTunes / 3UTools can fix it too.

Hi Ben,

Thanks for your time.

I already try turning on the phone with the front camera unplugged but didn't work. I don't think that is the long screw damage because the screen would be blue, not red. Could be also red? Do you know about this?

tarafından

red screen error is usually when the software has a bug and glitches it can be caused by a failing nand hard drive or a faulty or short front camera flex

I tried restore but I got error 4013, That mean NAND problem, right? There is something that I can do on these cases ?

This is what you need to do.

1. Plug in the charging cable

2. backup your data on icloud

3. change the front camera flex

4. restore the phone via itunes

5. setup the phone using icloud backup

and your phone should be working back to normal

Hí,

How should I backup my data if the iPhone is not turning on?

tarafından

try to disconnect front camera flex and charge the phone and leave it plugged in and try to do icloud backup from the phone

tarafından

The iPhone is not turning on even with front camera flex disconnected

tarafından

My 5S phone would not boot after battery replacement, apple logo for a few seconds then black screen. Followed the above, updated phone via iTunes and restored using latest iCloud backup. Took a bit of time but no problems since.

Take it to an Apple Authorized Service Provider. They can run diagnostics on it to determine why it loops. Find an Apple Authorized Service Provider at https://locate.apple.com/pr/en/
