Not connecting to WiFi networks

Recently I am not able to connect my laptop to WiFi network. Theres no icon for WiFi connection. Only ethernet cable not plugged icon is shown . I checked device manager for network adaptor but it's not showing any Wireless adapter it's showing only local area network cable adaptor I have already reinstalled wireless adaptor and I have checked power options too. .. looks like laptop is not detecting wireless connection. Bluetooth adaptor is working fine. Please help me out .. do I need to replace wlan card …

Have you tried downloading the WiFi driver from the Lenovo website for your laptop model?

Then it might be that the WiFi care is not seated correctly. You can usually remove the bottom panel where there hdd and ram reside. Unscrew or unclip the card whilst power is off then reseat it and secure it down.

In control panel are there any "unknown devices" listed?

No .. there's no unknown device listed .. yes I will try the card settings.. thank you ... But if card is removed and seated back do I need to re install drivers .. or re install windows ?

No, driver is already installed, if card is working it will be detected automatically by windows.

Have you done the almighty fix shutting down and restart the system ?

Did you recently updated windows ?

If yes

Try going back to previous windows from restore backup option that usually fix the issue if you haven't deleted partition it for storage space
