Why are some games making a clicking noise?
My PS2 is making a strange clicking sound for certain games, including my Harry Potter PS1 disc, and refusing to read it. I swear the disc is fine, I cleaned it. It isn’t really scratched. I heard it may have to do with the arm that connects to the rotating rod. Elsewhere I heard it’s just the laser needs to be cleaned. I’m not sure.

Try gently cleaning the laser lens. There are guides online.
At least by doing this you will eliminate it (dirty lens that is) as a potential cause of the problem if doing this doesn't resolve it.
