Why can’t I see from the eyepiece viewfinder

Everything works on my camera and you can sometimes see through the eye hole but when you go to take a picture the eye hole goes black help

When you say "go to take a picture" do you mean when you press down the shutter button? If so, it's normal for the eyepiece to go black shortly while the camera is capturing the photo. When you look through the eyepiece, there is a mirror that redirects the light coming in from the lens to the eyepiece for you to see. However, when you press down the shutter button to take a photo, this mirror has to flip up and out of the way so that the light coming in from the lens can go to the camera's sensor instead.

Also note, if you use live view mode (where the image coming into the lens is shown on the LCD screen) the viewfinder will also be black while live view mode is active.
