HP Photosmart Premium C309g-m produces blank pages, despite my having recently replaced all ink cartridges. Tried to print quality report—no luck. Tried to clean printhead, but prompts me to change paper and click OK. Can paper be the problem? This problem suddenly occurred, after years of successful printing.

Hate to say it but when it comes to printers most of the time its more cost effective to replace it. Especially if it is a few years old.
Take a look and make sure there isn’t paper jammed in there far enough to prevent the heads from moving to print.
If possible try printing and see if the heads will even move to put anything on the paper. It can be issues with gears damaged and not allowing it to move over to put the ink on the paper.
Sometimes you really got to look closely and try tilting to see if you have any broken pieces that come out.

Even went into the tools menu and a status report was printed ok.
Managed to fix issue myself, but not sure how. Removed and put back each ink cartridge separately, to make sure the connections of each looked solid.
