reed switch panel missing
I've opened up my ibook G4 planning to upgrade my optical drive to superdrive but my ibook has no reed switch panel inside as shown in instructions - does this matter?

The reed switch cable and board are located on the optical drive and the socket is near the keyboard socket. If you don't have the reed switch board installed your ibook wont go to sleep when the display is closed. The 1.33 12" ibook is the only one with the reed switch board located in the top case.
