I’m wondering if there’s a way to install a Force Touch capable track pad on this 2013 model of the fifteen inch MacBook Pro. I know connector to the logic board is different than the connector that shipped but other than that, would it be possible to install one on this machine?

Sorry just not possible!
The systems firmware EFI (BIOS) has no knowledge on how to deal with it and the electrical connections are not the same.

I figured that would be the case. Especially upon examining the 2015 Trackpad.
Wanted a second opinion on this, which machine do you keep and which do you sell:
Option A - 13in | 2015, 2.7GHz Core i5, 8GB of RAM, 256GB SSD
Option B - 15in | 2013, 2.3 GHz Core i7, 16GB of RAM, 502GB SSD
Personally I would go with the 15" as I like the larger screen, more powerful CPU, more RAM and larger SSD.
