It's either a bad home button or home button interconnect cable causing a short circuit stopping the phone from turning on.

I swapped out the home buttons and the button works but it just gets really hot. like burning hot.

Where does it get hot? The phone is still getting short-circuited by some component.

tarafından

It gets hot on the home button itself

This usually occurs when a 6s home button is connected to a 6s so I recommend trying another home button. The metal plate that goes behind the screen should be replaced as well.
