Can I still use this snapped logic board?

While trying to attach the antenna better (weak WiFi problems) my son snapped the logic board. I had it running but the phone overheated. It could have been that the antenna came off again or it was the actual break. I’ll include a picture. Can I superglue the logic board? Also what can I do to help the antenna stay on? Thanks

No, you can’t just superglue a component back together and expect it to work properly, you might just have to take it to a specialist that can look at the break.

For the heating problem, it probably wouldn’t be related to the antenna, it could’ve been the break.

For the antenna connector, you could just use a small piece of electrical tape to secure the connector back to the board.

Is that part of the logic board made of plastic? Would it work to solder or would it melt it?

tarafından

It might work to solder it, and no, it wouldn't melt it.

A really simple solution could be to just use some kapton tape to hold it in place.

I tried soldering and kapton tape. Solder and tape wouldn’t stick. I used E6000 glue and let it cure. I gently put the screw in to secure everything together and somehow it’s working. The on/off button on the side decided not to work but I don’t want to open it all back up. Although I’m not sure how long the glue will hold. I keep watching for overheating.

We will need images to determine. The logic board probably has 10-14 internal layers of circuitry, gluing it back on definitely will not work.
