Battery Connector not separate on my model

Hi, my ibook won't run on a brand new fully charged battery. I took my ibook apart. The battery connector is not a separate part like your pictures. It appears to be integrated into the logic board.

Any suggestions?

There does dot appear to be a teardown of your model. Please give a complete description of what's happening with your machine. For reference here's an explosion of your parts: http://www.welovemacs.com/apibg41g12co1....

If I unplug the power, the computer dies. I just purchased and installed a new battery. It's the third battery I've bought hoping the others were bad. None of them are bad.

The battery is good and I get 4 green lights when I push the button on the battery itself. The battery terminals appear to be intact, no wear whatsoever. But if I so much as wiggle the power cord, it dies. I can't determine if I need a DC - input, a Battery connector, or a Mother board.

Also, again, the battery connector does not match your photos. Any advice is welcome and appreciated.

Under the power indicator at the top right it says Battery Charged and is greyed out.

First do a PMU reset:

1- If the computer is on, turn it off.

2- Disconnect the AC Adapter and remove the computer's battery.

3- Press and hold down the power button for 5 seconds and then release the button.

4- Reconnect the battery and AC Adapter.

5- Press the Power button to restart the computer.

If it doesn't work:

- try a known working AC adapter

- replace the DC in board

- replace the logic board.

I would check for corrosion on the battery connector. You may also have a broken solder where the connector attaches to the logic board. Re-soldering looks easy on this model. See if step 24 of this guide gets you there: iBook G4 12" 800 MHz-1.2 GHz Logic Board Replacement

The terminals look perfectly in tact, no corrosion. Step 24 does not shed any light. The connector is permanently soldered through the underside of the logic board. Re-soldering would be difficult but not impossible. It's worth a try. Thanks.
