Why is my laptop gpu having issues?

So recently I upgraded to window 64 on my dell vostro 3700 (4 months ago) and recently I have been getting these 4ainbow stripped black check patterns on my laptop any help?

You may have to update your video adapter drivers. To do this, please first connect to the Internet:

  1. Type Device Manager in the Windows Search box on the left side of your Taskbar. Click on the “Device Manager” entry on the pop-up list.
  2. In the Device Manager window, click on the Display adapters entry. The name of your graphics adapter should appear underneath.
  3. Right-click on your graphics adapter and click Update driver. Another pop-up window should appear.
  4. Select the Search automatically for updated driver software option in the pop-up window. Windows will search the Web for the driver update and install it.
