Standard vs. Rechargeable batteries

Hello,

My Harman Kardon go play 2 takes 8 D cell batteries. Each being 1.5 volts, that makes 12 volts of power. Rechargeable batteries operate at 1.2 volts giving me 9.6 volts. I've read that some electronics are sensitive to voltage changes like this and will fry while others are not. Is it safe to use rechargeable batteries in the Go play 2?

Thank you

Hi Tyler media,

Well, I guess you can try, I think is a good investment.

For me, I do buy many rechargeable batteries, somehow for alkaline batteries, if left out for long time, the probability of leaking is high and the leaked chemical can damage terminals and seep into the circuit board, damaging it further.

You need to get a battery charger.

Some say Nitecore D4 is great, which I had one too

And perhaps AA to D cell converter / adapter

I had several batteries, ranging from Panasonic / Sanyo Eneloop and recently using Ikea Ladda battery.

I think if your side has ikea, you can consider it.

For this appliance I will recommend you to go for Eneloop pro series from Panasonic or Ikea Ladda 2450.
