I’m changing out the housing color from black to blue. Is the the fingerprint scanner on the back of the phone synced to the motherboard? It would be nice to switch it to blue without any issues.

For as far as I know, Samsung does not sync the fingerprint scanner to the motherboard, which means it can safely be swapped without losing functionality.

Unlike Apple, Samsung does not screw over their customers when it comes to the fingerprint scanner. You can safely swap out this part with no effect on the function at all.
