The Early 2009 Mac Pro—also known as the Mac Pro 4,1—introduced Intel's Nehalem architecture to Apple's line of professional desktop computers in March 2009. The Mac Pro 5,1 used the same interior design but received further CPU updates in 2010 and 2012.

@ammoune78 What are you trying to do here? Have you flashed the main logic board from 4,1 to 5,1 yet? Just tell me what you are planning.

The logic board was flashed to 5,1 yes, but using a double CPU Tray, but the tray after the 5,1 flash, turned the fans at full speed. I bought another logic board from Germany, thinking that the problem of the tray came from the logic board, but once the new logic board powered on, the fans problem on the double CPU Tray remained. So i’ve bought another double CPU Tray, with it the problem is solved. Then, i’ve sent my old logic board to my friend in Germany, to sell it there, now a days a go, i’ve requested it from him, in order to mount a new Mac Pro 2009 but with a single processor tray.

Now here’s where i’m, the old backplane 2009 P/N 639-9399 will be in my country after the next week, and i’m searching for a single processor tray compatible with it!

Thanks for understanding this story lol!!

@ammoune78 The fans running at full speed is usually associated with a major hardware change (did you change the hardware before this happened?). You need to use the Apple Fan syncing software. This usually comes on the original system installation disk. Sorry, right now I don't remember how to access it.

What process did you use to flash, DosDude or something else?

BTW this is my main machine. I am running an early 2009 2x2.93 GHz, flashed to 5,1 and running Sierra.
