1 Wont start, no power to anything
I have a 2014 Dodge Charger. Went to work the car was fine. Went to go to lunch and the key fob didnt work I had to get the key out and unlock my door. Went to start the car and it wouldnt start, no dash lights come on, engine doesn't turn over or anything. Tried jumping the car and it wont jumpstart either. Mechanic has checked fuses and cant seem to figure out what's wrong with it. Being towed to the dealer tomorrow. They're thinking something in the computer of the car or bad key fob maybe….anyone else experience this issue before? I have brake lights when k hit the brake pedal but nothing else in the front. The car dont ding or do anything like its completely shut down.

Hi @tashae513 , only just opinion. It looks like the cables are interrupted by some animal. On your place, I will check the car by the diagnostics cable with software, only just to collect issues from the controls board. If the cables are ok, then you will get some information.

Sounds like the famous Dodge TIPM, don’t let me force you into a new one, do some research of this very popular problem.

Duane I've been googling stuff and cant seem to find that exact issue. The mechanic unhooked the battery a couple hours ago before getting towed to dodge and the car reset and started after hooking the battery back. Had battery and alternator checked and both are 100% good. Car is driving fine right now but I still want to know what caused this if the battery isn't bad.

all cables seemed to be hooked up properly and no corrosion or anything on battery. I'm wondering was it the anti theft system that shut my car down but not sure why it would do it.

So I googled tipm cuz i wasnt sure what it was. But my car hasnt done any of those thing so maybe it just hasnt reached that point yet idk. And chargers weren't listed on the list for having them but I'm going to look into it more . Thanks for the help I really appreciate it
