Maybe I will start to tear down one of those 1s, not the 1+
I have an old 1, but the new 1+ has battery issues.
So, stand by.
Update (04/05/23)
I made a teardown today, but it seems to be that you have to be at least careful, some part is glued, and some wires are soldered to that part.
So, I would say it is not repairable (you have to be a swiss-watch maker with magnifier at least ha-ha).

Bad news, it is not made for repairable one.
Just came here looking for the same answer. Mine are barely two years old and the buds just stopped charging. If anyone needs my spare case please message me.

Does anyone know how to take the case apart? My lid has come off and I've heard you can replace the screws with longer ones to fix the hinge, but I can't get it apart
