My phone is not charging

i did not drop the phone from the salt water but some water comes from the waves that rinse my phone from my screen or volume and USB ports. is it possible to go inside the volume or the side of the screen ? .. it happens to me on the 1st day. then it notice me that i should unplug my charger then i let it dry then at the end of the day my phone charges then after 3 days. My phone again give another notice that i should unplug my charger because it is wet. is it possible that the salt water was inside my phone now ? or just on the usb port ? Because i did not rinse my phone with clean water. Please someone help if my the salt water was inside my phone or it is just on the USB ports? and is it possible the the salt water my go through the volume, screen, usb ports, and camera. even if the salt water was only rinse in my cell phone. it did not fall on the salt water

you can just use an electro cleaner, spray it on the metal parts without disassembling your phone and let it dry. Try the charger again.

Your phone “Samsung Galaxy A9 2018” is not a waterproof phone and doesn't have the IP68 or IP67 ratings which means it's not a water resistant phone.

Also your phone does has a type-c usb port and a 3.5 audio port not to mention the speakers and its all open ports, so i recommend that if you have the knowledge of working on phones “you did teardown a phone before”, just open it and replace the usb port then dry it with a heat gun. If not, just go to someone who can to prevent yourself from damaging your phone or hurting yourself.

Notice! Even if the phone is water resistant, it's not a 100%. Water still may leak inside of it. And thats why the IP68 rating guarantee the phone only for half an hour at the depth of 1 merer in a regular conditions..
