Hi All,
I hear recently that there could be a solution for the warning message that appears after screen replacement. It was suggested to me that it might be possible to transfer an IC from the original screen flex to a new screen.
Does this sound plausible, has anyone managed it yet? Such a shame, I’m turning down loads of iPhone 11 repairs…

iPhone 8 Series & iPhone X, you have to read the old serial number from the old screen and transfer it to the new one with a special programmer (about $500 for programmer on ) to fix the issue with true tone, I never tested on iPhone 11 series but is think it will be the same thing, at soon I have news I will post it here.

Yep, there’s a chip grinding method where the chip on the back of the screen is transferred over.

The iPhone 11 smartphones show a warning if the screen has been replaced and if Apple cannot verify whether it is an official screen.
The warning is on the lockscreen for 4 days and then only visible in the settings menu. If the message disappears from the lock screen after 4 days, it will remain on the first page of the settings menu for another 15 days. After that period, the notification goes to the Info menu under the General heading of Settings. The notification has no further effect on the operation of the iPhone.
The true Tone option under Screen settings is therefore no longer available.
Before starting the repair I recommend you to use the "JCID v1 Programmer" you can save data from the old screen and save it to the New screen, when you then mount the new screen back on your iPhone, the True Tone option is available again in Screen settings

Yes, transplanting the Touch IC to a new OEM display (note how I said OEM here), makes the message disappear! and as for true tone you need a re programmer to be able to restore that! :D

The message will disappear if you use a genuine screen, program it and flash the phone to an iOS version higher than 14.6.
Worked for me several times.

I've got iPhone 11 that had a hard live, I managed to get Genuine back and Screen, so the only thing I moved it's Face ID and Front Sensor Assembly, as well motherboard but I've got notification about the screen and battery, Unfortunately I don't have the screen that was (linked) with motherboard, if I'll use JC 1Vs to reprogram the screen and restore True Tone do you think that message about the screen will disappear?
Nope. Apple patched this.

Hi All,
Just thought I’d ask for anyones thoughts on this and if anyone has had any success before with this particular way to replace the newer iphone screens and eradicate the display warning message.
A nearby repair shop sent me an email some months ago with some questions about certain methods I use for some repairs and they mentioned to me that they had replaced an iphone 11 screen and couldn’t power off the phone due to no touch but then also forgot to disconnect the battery so the screen was replaced live and when they tested afterwards it had no Apple display warning message and even after restarting the phone it wasn’t there and also survived iOS updates.
I’ve not tried this before for obvious reasons but wondered if anyone else had done this before or heard of the same thing.

I'm just reinforcing other answers here. A programmer will transfer over the True Tone feature, and the messages will quiet down with time. To eliminate the message, as of now, the chip has to be removed from the old display and then transferred onto the new one. I have never done this.

This can be avoided by removing the original screens IC Chip and installing it on the new display 😊

Please note that this is not a matter of just popping a chip off with your fingernail and slipping it into a new screen; the description here makes it sound far easier than it is in reality. If you view the video posted by @esarashid63018 you'll see that the suggested method is to remove the original Touch ID chip with a hot air station, then remove the chip off the replacement screen by grinding it off in order to avoid damaging the display from the heat needed.
All of this requires expert level microsoldering and board rework skills; abilities that most of us home DIYers do not possess; indeed, many repair shops can't even do that sort of operation.
So while you can make the description sound simple, in reality it is anything but.
