What version of ASD software works for late 2013 iMac 21.5"?

Hello all,

Can anyone verify what version of ASD works on an iMac 21.5” , A1418, late 2013?

I downloaded and tried ASD 3S155, but got the circle with line through it on initial boot up.

Managed to find a couple of updated lists, but no real indication to the one to use on the intended machine.

Sadly Apple scrubs the net for ASD images. Often times their muscle is enough to get it pulled. Frankly, I have found it really doesn’t offer that much benefit as unless you can decipher the code it won’t lead you to an answer.

If you are facing a problem how about giving us the details of the problem I’m sure we can aim you to the solution faster then you continue to hunt for the exclusive beast.

This seems to happen a lot , I ask a question……and then I find the answer.

The ASD 3S157 is for the Late 2013 iMac 21.5”.

I managed to find and download the ASD EFI part and run a quick test.

Onscreen there were only 2 sensor error mesages;

sensor - temperature — (TL0p) LCD proximity (test 1) sensor verifies that sensor reads within the sensor limits. ERROR — senosr is reading below the low limit

sensor - temperature -- (TL1p) TCON local (test 1) sensor verifies that sensor reads within the sensor limits. ERROR - sensor is reading below the low limit

This relates to a couple of previous questions I’d asked on ifixit regarding the same machine. All resulting from originally opening a machine to change the HDD. With the LCD reconnected. Nothing appears on screen. However using a mini display port to HDMI cable. Plugged into an external TV, there’s a picture to work with.

Ouch! Your display assembly or its power connector on it is damaged as the connector carries the signals to the logic board.
