left trigger being pressed when handle squeezed

my right bumper wasn’t working so i took the controller apart and back again 2 times and now the trigger gets pressed a quarter to half of the way whenever any of the left side of the controller is barely squeezed. i have tried it with the backplate of another 1708 with no luck. i tried scraping the foam on the right of the trigger off so there’s more space for it to bounce back to still no luck
