Why is my screen Greenish with vertical purple lines?

My laptop currently has a bluish green tinge with purple lines that mimic closed items.

This happened once before but fixed its self in 30 minutes without me touching the laptop, and seemingly happened during the night while the laptop was powered down.

Please help.
