Had to remove a punctured battery. Will it still work with just one?
Hi.
While attempting to repair a loose and disconnected USB charging port, I accidentally punctured one of the two batteries when trying to open the plastic enclosure :(
I've seen a little spark, a little smoke and a fruity smell. As it remained stable and not showing signs of overheating, I quickly finished opening the enclosure, taped the hole in the battery, disconnected it from the PCB and put it away in a bucket full of baking soda, as it seemed to be swelling slowly. This one is done.
Now just one of the two 3.7V 10000mAh batteries remains. This power bank has two 10000mAh batteries arranged in parallel.
While it seems to be still functional (despite not charging past 2 bars out of 4), can I still use it safely as a 10000mAh powerbank?
Thanks for your advice!
Alex
